Membership

The membership eligibility requirements of the Southeastern Actuaries Conference, as stated in Article 3 of the Constitution, are as follows: APPLICANT FOR MEMBERSHIP may include any qualified person residing in Alabama, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia, and:

(1) who is a Fellow or an Associate of the Society of Actuaries,

(2) who is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries,

(3) who is a Fellow or an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society,

(4) who has passed at least 4 courses from the Society of Actuaries or the Casualty Actuarial Society, or

(5) who has comparable professional actuarial credentials from another country.

Such qualified person may be admitted as a Member by the affirmative vote of the majority of the Executive Committee.  Membership dues are $200 annually; $50 for university students.

Current News

Fall 2020 - With many corporate travel restrictions still in place, the SEAC will host our Annual Virtual Meeting on November 18-19, 2020.  In keeping with tradition, this meeting will be co-hosted with the Actuaries' Club of the Southwest.  Members will enjoy a Professionalism seminar, Business, General and Practice-Specific sessions under the confines of Social Distancing.  While New Orleans would have been fun, please join us for the opportunity to earn continuing education credits and virtually connect with current and new SEAC/ACSW members.

Spring 2020 - The SEAC held our first ever Virtual Meeting during the Spring of 2020.  No beach this year, but Members enjoyed a Professionalism seminar, Business, General and Practice-Specific sessions under the confines of Social Distancing.

Fall 2019 - The SEAC Annual Meeting was held at The Whitley in Atlanta, Georgia on November 20-22, 2019.  Congratulations to Rebecca Scotchie (President) and Michael Celichowski (Member-At-Large) on their elections.

Spring 2019 - The SEAC Spring Meeting was held at The Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on June 19-21, 2019.  What could possibly beat earning Continuing Education credits by the beach!

Fall 2018 - The SEAC Annual Meeting was held at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee on November 14-16, 2018.  Congratulations to Mark Massey (President), John Condo (Member-At-Large) and Woolford London (Member-At-Large) on their elections.
