SEAC Scholarships

Each year the Southeastern Actuaries Conference funds actuarial science scholarships for full-time students at universities and colleges in the Southeast who have demonstrated a commitment to pursuing a career in the actuarial field.  In 2019, the SEAC has awarded 3 scholarships totaling $3,000.  Historically, the scholarships have been awarded to individuals attending schools in the Southeast, including Florida State University, University of Alabama, Georgia State University, University of Central Florida, Middle Tennessee State University, Belmont University, Clemson University, and University of South Florida.

The SEAC Scholarship Committee receives and reviews scholarship applications from students, and then selects the scholarship winners.  The members of the Scholarship Committee include:

Current News

Fall 2021 - The SEAC Annual Meeting will return to an in-person format at the Hotel Emeline, in Charleston, South Carolina on November 17-19, 2021. We look forward to reuniting with friends and colleagues in the fall.

Spring 2021 - The SEAC Spring Meeting was a virtual event held on June 23-24, 2021. The pandemic continued to be a major consideration for live events, but the meeting was as successful and well-attended as ever.

Fall 2020 - The SEAC Annual Meeting was a virtual event held jointly with the ACSW on November 18-19, 2020.  Congratulations to Alison Pool (President) and David Rowbottom (Member-At-Large) on their elections.

Spring 2020 - The SEAC held our first ever Virtual Meeting on June 24-25, 2020.  No beach this year, but Members enjoyed a Professionalism seminar, Business, General and Practice-Specific sessions under the confines of Social Distancing.

Fall 2019 - The SEAC Annual Meeting was held at The Whitley in Atlanta, Georgia on November 20-22, 2019.  Congratulations to Rebecca Scotchie (President) and Michael Celichowski (Member-At-Large) on their elections.
