SEAC Scholarships

Each year the Southeastern Actuaries Conference funds actuarial science scholarships for full-time students at universities and colleges in the Southeast who have demonstrated a commitment to pursuing a career in the actuarial field.  For 2019, the SEAC has awarded 3 scholarships totaling $3,000.  Historically, the scholarships have been awarded to individuals attending schools in the Southeast, including Florida State University, University of Alabama, Georgia State University, University of Central Florida, Middle Tennessee State University, Belmont University, Clemson University, and University of South Florida.

The SEAC Scholarship Committee receives and reviews scholarship applications from students, and then selects the scholarship winners. The members of the Scholarship Committee include:

  • David Hayes, Member - Milliman

Current News

Fall 2019 - Our Fall Annual Meeting will be held at The Whitley in Atlanta, Georgia on November 20-22, 2019.  We hope to see you there!

Spring 2019 - The SEAC Spring Meeting was held at The Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on June 19-21, 2019.  What could possibly beat earning Continuing Education credits by the beach!

Fall 2018 - The SEAC Fall Annual Meeting was held at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee on November 14-16, 2018.  Congratulations to Mark Massey (President), John Condo (Member-At-Large) and Woolford London (Member-At-Large) on their elections.

Spring 2018 - The SEAC Spring Meeting was held at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Florida on June 20-22, 2018.  Water slides were only made better by the lazy river!

Fall 2017 - The SEAC Fall Annual Meeting was held at the Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 15-17, 2017.  Congratulations to Ashlee Borcan (President) and Kareen Dorsett (Member-At-Large) on their elections.
