SEAC Scholarships

Each year the Southeastern Actuaries Conference funds actuarial science scholarships for full-time students at universities and colleges in the Southeast who have demonstrated a commitment to pursuing a career in the actuarial field.  In 2019, the SEAC has awarded 3 scholarships totaling $3,000.  Historically, the scholarships have been awarded to individuals attending schools in the Southeast, including Florida State University, University of Alabama, Georgia State University, University of Central Florida, Middle Tennessee State University, Belmont University, Clemson University, and University of South Florida.

The SEAC Scholarship Committee receives and reviews scholarship applications from students, and then selects the scholarship winners.  The members of the Scholarship Committee include:

  • Joshua Garcia, Chair - Allstate Benefits
  • Marilou Halim, Member - Allstate Benefits
  • David Hayes, Member - Milliman
