First off, a big thank you to everyone who responded to our survey request to gauge interest in potentially returning to an in-person format for the 2021 Spring Meeting of the Southeast Actuaries Conference. After careful consideration of the responses received, balancing the diverse opinions shared about our options, the Executive Committee of SEAC has decided to move our 2021 Spring Meeting to a virtual format. While significant progress is likely by June with respect to vaccinations as well as infection rates, there are still far too many open questions and too many members of SEAC who we believe might be excluded in a move back to in-person meetings at the present time. As a result, we are in process of assembling what we hope you will find to be a valuable set of sessions during the June timeframe. We will be sharing more details in the near future, and we hope you will once again join us virtually for our sessions. We do hope that we will be in position by November to return to our in-person format for the 2021 Annual Meeting scheduled for Charleston, SC. We will only make such a move, however, when we expect it will be safe for all of our attendees to make the trip.
We hope everyone is staying safe, and we greatly appreciate your continued participation in, and support for, SEAC activities.
